Mr Harold Brett has bequeathed funds to The University of Western Australia to provide a scholarship to encourage and assist a regional or remote music student who plays a string instrument to commence a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) degree course and continue with a major in Specialist Music Studies.

About the Scholarship

  • One Scholarship awarded annually.
  • For 2017 entry the total value of the Scholarship is $10,000 paid at $2,500 per semester over four consecutive semesters.
  • Prospective students completing the annual audition for entry into the Conservatorium of Music will be considered for this scholarship.
  • The successful candidate will be contacted by the Conservatorium of Music (there is no formal application procedure to be followed).
