The UWA School of Music is a vibrant centre of music education and research, and has strong ties to the community through programs such as:

• Discover Music Outreach Programme (including the Junior Music School)
• Concert series with over 100 public performances a year
• Friends of Music
• Callaway Foundation

The School of Music is in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at The University of Western Australia, located in Perth. Staff are actively involved in both teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate) and research.

The School has approximately 200 students and 15 academic staff specialising in the areas of performance, composition, music education and musicology.

Music Lessons

Enrolments for Semester 2 2008 "Discover Music" programmes will be open soon. This exciting range of courses includes the ever-popular Junior Music School, as well as a fabulous array of new courses for all ages. It's never too late! These courses are open to all members of the community, including primary and secondary school students as well as adults.
