The Winthrop Singers were formed in 2007 in a partnership between the School of Music and St George’s College, UWA.
The choir performs a chapel service, either Evensong or a Sung Eucharist, every Thursday in St George’s College Chapel, as well as concerts at UWA and further afield.
The choir is led by Dr Nicholas Bannan and it's members represent Schools and Faculties from across UWA.

The Winthrop Singers ascend Winthrop Tower for their annual serenade to the sunrise on the first day of spring, followed by an intimate performance in the resonant acoustic of the Winthrop Hall Foyer.
The Winthrop Singers perform a traditional service of lessons and carols, with music from medieval carols to new setting of Christmas texts, and plenty of opportunities for lusty vocal participation.
