Our Junior Music School will nurture your childs creative potential through the magic of music.

We believe all children are musical. The extent to which musical ability develops, however, depends greatly on the input children receive in very early childhood.

Program overview

This program, designed for children aged 18 months to 12 years, nurtures your child's musical potential in a stimulating and rich musical environment, thereby supporting you and your family in developing and maintaining a lifelong love of music.

Junior Music School employs highly skilled music teachers from diverse musical backgrounds, as well as the University's top final year music education students.  This ensures that our music program is based on the best and most recent research, and a supportive and lively university music community.

In 2013, in addition to individual piano and violin lessons, the Junior Music School is offering individual flute, clarinet, trumpet and trombone lessons.

Refund Policy

• Withdrawal from the program can be made only in the first two weeks of Semester.
• The JMS office must be informed in writing.
• The cost of two lessons will apply.
• No refunds or credits will be issued after this date.

Classes

The program offers a range of exciting and challenging classes for children from 18 months to 12 years:

• Music Playground (18 months to 5 years) - students begin a journey of musical discovery (**$357 per semester)
  
• Soundscapes - students discover and explore essential musical concepts (**$455 per semester)
  
• Firebird - students continue to explore and develop literacy and aural skills (**$425 per semester)
• Phoenix - for the most advanced level of JMS Music Literacy Program (**$425 per semester)
  
• Young Voices Choir (9 to 12 years) - high quality choral singing (**$425 per semester)
  
• Individual piano, violin, flute and clarinet tuition (**$825 per semester)

Classes takes place every Friday and Saturday during school terms at the School of Music.
