Our Junior Music School will nurture your child’s creative potential through the magic of music.
We believe all children are musical. The extent to which musical ability develops, however, depends greatly on the input children receive in very early childhood.
Program overview
This program, designed for children aged 18 months to 12 years, nurtures your child's musical potential in a stimulating and rich musical environment, thereby supporting you and your family in developing and maintaining a lifelong love of music.
We offer the finest teachers, a challenging and exciting music program based on the best and most recent research, and a supportive and lively university music community.
Classes
The program offers a range of exciting and challenging classes for children from 18 months to 12 years:
- Music Playground (18 months to 5 years) - students begin a journey of musical discovery
- Soundscapes (plus optional classes: 5 to 7 years) - students discover and explore essential musical concepts
- Firebird (plus optional classes: 7 to 12 years) - students continue to explore and develop literacy and aural skills
Classes takes place every Friday and Saturday during school terms at the School of Music.
