Our Junior Music School will nurture your childs creative potential through the magic of music.

We believe all children are musical. The extent to which musical ability develops, however, depends greatly on the input children receive in very early childhood.

Program overview

This program, designed for children aged 18 months to 12 years, nurtures your child's musical potential in a stimulating and rich musical environment, thereby supporting you and your family in developing and maintaining a lifelong love of music.

Junior Music School employs highly skilled music teachers from diverse musical backgrounds, as well as the University's top final year music education students.  This ensures that our music program is based on the best and most recent research, and a supportive and lively university music community.

From February 2012 Junior Music School is offering enthusiastic young singers aged 9 - 12 an exciting opportunity to join a new choir dedicated to high quality choral singing.

Enrolments

Enrolments for Semester 2, 2012 will open in mid June.

How to enrol:

• Type in your child's age (an automated list of age-appropriate classes will appear)
• Select your preferred class
  
• Select your preferred day and time
• Complete the rest of the enrolment form
  

**Please note, Thursday dates for are individual instrumental lessons only.

Refund Policy

• Withdrawal from the program can be made only in the first two weeks of Semester.
• The JMS office must be informed in writing.
• The cost of two lessons will apply.
• No refunds or credits will be issued after this date.

Classes

The program offers a range of exciting and challenging classes for children from 18 months to 12 years:

• Music Playground (18 months to 5 years) - students begin a journey of musical discovery (**$350 per semester)
  
• Soundscapes - students discover and explore essential musical concepts (**$452 per semester)
  
• Firebird - students continue to explore and develop literacy and aural skills (**$402 per semester)
  
• Young Voices Choir (9 to 12 years) - choral singing led by Celia Christmass (**$420 per semester)
  
• Individual piano and violin tuition (**$820 per semester)

**Prices are subject to change - all classes run for 16 weeks.

Classes takes place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday during school terms at the School of Music.
