The 9th Totally Huge New Music Festival10th - 20th September A captivating exploration of new music and sound art, the biennial Totally Huge New Music Festival presented by Tura New Music features musicians from Western Australia and around the world. From orchestral premieres to sound exhibitions, Totally Huge provides a showcase of New Chamber Music, Electronica, Improvisation, Radiophonics, Multimedia and Sound Art in venues across Perth, Western Australia. UWA School of Music is proud to join forces with Tura New Music for several special events during the 2009 Festival, including Lunchtime Concerts, a Student Composer's concert, and New Music workshops. Making Music, Being WellScheduled for May 2009, this event acknowledges the important role music plays in bringing people from all walks of life together, and in encouraging their health and wellbeing. Staff and students from the UWA School of Music will join Catch Music, The Stirling Silver Singers, and The People Who Care Choir to celebrate music for health and wellbeing in the community.
